The Prince of Peace and His Kingdom
What images does the word peace conjure up in your mind? The rainbow flag of the contemporary LGBT social movement? The circular peace symbol popularized during the 1960s? Perhaps the dove—a symbol of the Holy Spirit descending in Christian baptism—or the olive branch brought back to Noah following the flood, marking the end of God’s Divine punishment? Isaiah prophesied that Jesus Himself would be called the Prince of Peace—and that of the greatness of His rule and peace there would be no end. Join us as we begin a new sermon series, Peaceful Practices: Fitted and Ready with the Gospel of Peace, as we study what it means to live as Peacemakers in the footsteps of the Prince of Peace.
