Meditate on this Sunday’s Scripture Reading:  Matthew 5:3-6

This Sunday I am privileged to begin the first of a two-part series on the Beatitudes, which are the opening verses to the Sermon on the Mount.  Scholars have attempted to give this sermon significance by calling it “The Ordination Address of the Twelve.”  I give the Beatitudes significance by identifying them as “Kingdom Attitudes” to be lived out now because Paul reminds us that “Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit that lives in us and we are not our own.”  Please pray the Spirit will bring out that which each heart needs to hear in this message!
