Who Can God Use?
Sunday we return to our series in 1 Timothy with a focus on being entrusted with and guarding the gospel in every generation. The focus of our question is: “Who can God use?” You may be among those who have said, “God could never use me because when he dished out his spiritual gifts, my plate remained empty.” Well, when we look at the qualifications of those God can use in 1 Timothy 3, it’s not based on the gifts of the spirit but the fruit of the spirit manifested in our lives. We can’t create gifts of the spirit God did not give us, but we can by his grace and strength produce fruits of the spirit which is the character God is looking for for those he wants to use. Perhaps the first step for you in being used by God is simply being there this Sunday.
