“Repent or perish” has the same feeling as “do this or else.” In reality, it means the same! These words of our Lord are not “short and sweet” they are short and bitter. While our Savior is known as the compassionate “friend of sinners,” yet some of the most condemning words and illustrations in all the Bible originate with him.
