We continue our Final Words sermon series this week, considering what for many has been a confusing and troubling idea: why does Jesus say, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"  Did God really abandon Jesus on the cross?  Did God desert his own Son when Jesus needed him the most?  How do we make sense of this expression?  And most importantly, what does this reveal about the character and nature of God?  (Hint: it may be different than you think and much better news than you've heard before!)
