This Sunday it so happens I will be preaching on a scripture that, it has been said, is quoted more than any other scripture. Does that make it all good? I wish it did, but here it is: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” (Matt 7:1) The verses that follow certainly clarify what Jesus had in mind, but unfortunately this scripture has undermined disciplinary action in the body of Christ! Please pray for me because I earnestly desire for God to use this scripture to safeguard against condemnation but not at the sacrifice of discipline.
