This Sunday we gather to worship around the basin and around the table. As we wash each other’s feet and share the bread and cup, we remember and proclaim the Gospel to ourselves and to the world—together along with the Christian brothers and sisters who have gone before and will come after. In reverence and holiness, let us examine our hearts and lives as we renew our covenantal commitments to God and consequently, to each other. Praise be to our Lord who knelt to wash our feet, who made His broken body as bread for the hungry, and His poured out blood as wine for the thirsty. Jesus Himself invites us to come to the table.
