Revelation & Radiance
Over the next seven weeks let us set our hearts and minds on the letter to the Hebrews. “In the past God spoke…” These are the very first words of Hebrews which remind us that God was not satisfied to create mankind and walk away, leaving us to our own devices—certainly not! Genesis is not a story of a hit-and-run God, but of a God who reveals Himself to His creations. And while God Himself told Moses that no one can see Him and live (Ex. 33:20), the Old Testament Scriptures attest that God indeed spoke—often and in a variety of ways. But in these last days, God has made plain for all the world to see the exact representation of His being—His Son, Jesus, who radiates God’s glory. In preparation for this Sunday, read Hebrews chapters 1 and 2, and consider how God might intend to use the truths spoken therein to build up your hope and help you persevere.
