The Gospel message and God’s gift of salvation is for all people. As the winds and rain of false teaching beat down on the church in Ephesus, Paul calls on Timothy to restore true belief. Starting with salvation itself, Paul reminds that God desires for all people to be saved and therefore calls the Ephesians back to congregational ministry of prayer for all people. The power and effectiveness of such a ministry shouldn’t be glossed over. As they pray, in some measure they also offer God’s salvation to those who would otherwise be excluded. 

When the church gathers, however, ungodly behaviors and attitudes are distracting both the brothers and the sisters from what should be their primary goal—pleasing God. As we anticipate meeting together for worship this Sunday, let us keep our hearts and minds open to God’s Word, desiring that the Truth would continually renew and reform us according to the image of our Creator.  Click Here to go to YouTube for the live stream of this service.
