Preparing to Lead a Church on the Move Paul’s letters to Timothy paint a vivid picture of the first century church as an island in a sea of paganism and idolatry. Sound familiar? Now Paul was challenging his young assistant, Timothy, to lead the church at Ephesus—a huge task! Our message this Sunday will emphasize the importance of modeling our scriptural values to the next generation and how those values can help guide a church that is surrounded by unbelief, and yet clearly on the move.
