Paul’s Letter to the Philippians

This is Paul’s happiest letter, though his circumstances are hardly pleasant: written from a jail cell, under attack from competitors, tired and wanting some relief.  But circumstances are pale compared to the life of Jesus, the Messiah that Paul experiences from the inside.  Christ’s living presence spills out, an overflow that cannot be contained in any one person, and accounts for the joy of Christians.
