Labor Day has come and gone and summer is officially over! This Sunday will conclude our summer character studies with the person of Lazarus. What does God teach us through the life (not to mention the death and resuscitation) of this man who Jesus Himself called, “friend”? When the power of God was on full display and Jesus cried out, “Lazarus, come forth” the resurrection power of His words echoed far beyond Mary and Martha’s ears and beyond Lazarus’ tomb—stretching through space and time all the way to our own ears and our own tombs.
