Ps. 131 – “Rest”. This is one of the great Psalms of Trust. It offers us the powerful image of a child being at rest in her mother’s arms as a picture of the rest we find in God. In the midst of all the pressures and worry of life in this world, this image leads us to rest. Jesus expands on this promise of rest in His well-known promise in Mat. 11:28-30.
