Sunday we begin a series in Genesis.  The name itself implies we are going back to the beginning. There is great significance in beginnings.  Companies love to remind us “we’ve been in business since …, therefore you can depend on us!” That same significance holds true in the word of God.  Genesis tells us how we got here, the failure that soon followed, and the beginning of God’s solution to our failure in the call of Abraham. God first began humanity by creating a family.  He saved humanity by sparing a family (Noah).  Now he is going to bless humanity through yet another family. (Abraham and Sarah). I hope you will be as excited as we pastors are together realizing how God kept his promise to Abraham over all these years thereby knowing that on him and him alone we can depend!!
