This Sunday will be a “good news” sermon for us Gentiles because our time has finally come!  There is a sense in which we have been chosen in Him before the creation of the world (Eph 1:4) and yet as Gentiles it has not become reality until Acts 10.  In Genesis 12, God called Abraham and Israel’s time had come.  In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost and the church’s time had come.  Now in Acts 10, through the apostle Peter, our time has come.

I hope you will join us this Sunday and gain appreciation and the realization that hit Peter when he declared: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.”  Yes, up until Acts 10, Paul declared we were not a people, but this Sunday I can boldly declare we are – Praise God!
